Sr. Marketing Strategist

20nine is looking for a B2B marketing leader. We are a highly strategic, purpose first creative brand agency that helps B2B brands through better positioning, brand strategy, storytelling, visual identity, and market activation. We are seeking an individual experienced in building market activation strategies for brands in the tech (Adtech, Martech, Fintech), healthcare and manufacturing space. We are looking for a strategic thinker and active doer. You will work directly with our client and our internal creative and strategy team to translate bold creative ideas into strategic marketing campaigns focused on lead gen, brand awareness and category disruption with proven ROI.

Ideal candidates have led strategic marketing campaigns and are well versed in the various B2B marketing channels. As a senior strategist, you’re directly involved in the day-to-day development and execution of the marketing plan. You will work cross-functionally with team members and are comfortable wearing multiple hats from copy editing to project oversight and coordination. Your understanding of selling to and through a channel organization is a plus.

  • Interacting with clients to assess their marketing and business growth needs and digital communication requirements. You’ll research their market, assess their products, marketplace, audience, and competitors.
  • Leading the progression of messaging, journey mapping, experience building, and analytics for enterprise clients (primarily B2B clients).
  • Leading annual account planning/strategy for our clients.
  • Analysis of buyer personas and the adaptation of marketing strategies to various markets.
  • Collaborating with account team members, designers, and writers ensuring successful strategy execution.
  • Serve as a critical voice in assuring marketing and creative comes together as one cohesive narrative to meet the client’s needs.
  • Translate the client’s vision and your recommendations into comprehensive engagement estimates that reflect the work and deliverables required to meet the client’s goals.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience defining marketing strategies that are actionable and result in a measurable lift in key upper, mid- and lower funnel metrics and business growth.
  • Strong collaboration skills and comfort working at all leadership levels. You must be a strategic thinker and be comfortable doing the day-to-day blocking and tackling work required to deliver the plans you recommend.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey market dynamics, strategies, tactics, rationale, and results to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead through change and ambiguity while building foundational strategy and core competencies.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile culture—someone who embraces and leads through change.
  • Minimum of 8 years of marketing leadership, including developing digital marketing strategies, and messaging for an audience in a B2B sales cycle.
  • Minimum of five years of experience working in an agency environment.
